Djokovic révèle qu’il aurait renoncé à n’importe quel autre tournoi après sa chirurgie du genou, sauf Wimbledon
Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon: A Remarkable Comeback
Novak Djokovic recently shared that despite undergoing knee surgery, he would have hesitated to participate in any other tennis tournament, except for Wimbledon.
During the French Open, Djokovic suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee while facing Francisco Cerundolo. Despite the injury, Djokovic managed to finish the match and win in five sets. However, the victory came at the expense of his physical condition, leading to knee surgery the following day and withdrawal from the quarterfinals.
Many doubted Djokovic’s ability to recover in time for Wimbledon, given the brief period since his surgery. However, the Serbian player surprised everyone by returning to practice within two weeks, determined to compete at the prestigious tournament.
Although Djokovic wore a protective knee brace during matches, he displayed exceptional performance and agility, not letting his injury hinder his playing. In an interview, Djokovic mentioned that he would not have taken such a risk for any other event, highlighting his deep appreciation for Wimbledon’s significance.
Despite the challenges posed by his injury, Djokovic’s resilience and dedication to the sport allowed him to grace the courts of Wimbledon once again.
